I think I have ever read best book! I never stopped crying, it is the most real and exciting story I have ever read. Finished in two days, it was exciting, I was sorry to see some behaviors but what has passed every sorrow was Jake with what I think may be their soundtrack.
I added to cart Amazon this book in English and unfortunately I noticed bad reviews, all said that the plot is obvious, that the boys are described as super cool super beautiful and super facie. OK the descriptions are the same in all the books lately, but it's for an audience of young girls! Anyway I hope you read the post and know my opinion, also because he deserves this book.
It will be a different post from my usual. I'm not going to write citations, otherwise I could write the whole book! The thing I really loved is that there are not too many poetic phrases. All the words of love representing the love of a child, became a teenager and then a man who is madly in love with his 'Angel' with the blue dress with a bow on the back and white socks!
Certainly it is a book that has the romance, but as always I invite you to go beyond!
The first pages are harsh reality, I have really shaken deep down, I had never heard a story of abuse and violence, as well as those of the TV of course, but read those things made me really think. I think here is one story in the foreground, and it is the one between Amber and Jake ... There's just a brotherly love, a sense of protection by Jake, who for fifteen years was beaten by his father, and for thirteen years he has always thought before Amber just to protect her. The first chapter tells us about an episode of Amber when she was eight and Jake who was ten years old, it makes us understand how she was frightened by the male figure of his father, and how she didn't understand some of his behavior towards him. You can even read that she feels guilty for all the beating that Jake takes and who prefers to remain silent compared to those Sundays when she was alone with him.
In the second chapter we have a jump of eight years into the future, where we understand now that Liam escape from his bedroom to the master bedroom through the window of Amber, of years before it became the only solution to Amber for not have nightmares about what five years before his father was about to do to her, if they had not arrived Jake and the same Liam. In short, the meaning title is this: Liam ten years escapes from her bedroom window and sneaks into the Amber Room window which has eight years to console her, fell asleep, and for the following eight intense years that routine is repeated every night at 10:30 PM.
I recommend it, as all the books, but in a special way ... I really cried !! It has a wonderful epilogue, a shocking start and the unfolding of history may be a cliché for many, for me is the essence of courage on the part of Amber, protection almost to death by Jake and love at an early age that blooms in ' Liam adolescence, friendship among the three of them. We could almost define a trio, although their relationship does not change anything between Jake and Liam, are the same friends who were when they were six years !! We'll find out how to become an extended family, it will join the second father of the family, who suffered the same abuse.
I'm in love with them and their history as only four books have managed to do. Nevertheless it's because he just caved in me.
